On request, Clare Valley Wine Tours can provide pickup and drop-off from your accommodation in Adelaide, allowing you to enjoy a private day exploring the Clare Valley without having to worry about driving.

As we are based in the Clare Valley, however, an Adelaide pickup involves a considerable amount of additional travel. Before we even meet you, our guide needs to make the approximately 1¾-hour drive from Clare to Adelaide. With an Adelaide pickup in the morning and return drop-off in the evening, this adds around seven hours of driving for our guide and approximately 3½ hours of travelling for our guests, in addition to the time spent touring the Clare Valley.

For this reason, an Adelaide day tour can be relatively expensive and isn’t something we operate regularly. It can, however, work very well for larger private groups, where the additional transport cost can be shared between more guests. Better Still, Stay a Night or Two

If your itinerary allows, we strongly recommend spending a little longer in the Clare Valley rather than trying to squeeze everything into a single day from Adelaide.

The Clare Valley is a beautiful destination in its own right, with a wonderful range of boutique accommodation, award-winning restaurants, historic towns and, of course, some of Australia’s finest premium red and white wines.

Staying overnight also means you can slow the pace down, enjoy a long lunch, visit more cellar doors and experience the region without spending several hours of your day travelling to and from Adelaide.
